SHORT-WAVE PASS FILTERS A family of Tech Spec short-wave pass filters, available singly or in a kit containing all seven, has been introduced by Edmund Industrial Optics for fluorescence applications, for separating spectral orders and for use as part of custom bandpass filters. Made from UV-grade fused silica, the filters are 3 mm thick and 25 mm in diameter. They offer surface quality of 20-10, wavefront distortion of l/10 and an 80% clear aperture. They provide a sharp transition from transmission to reflection, as measured by their 3% slope factor. Cutoff wavelengths are 400, 450, 500, 550, 600, 650 and 700 nm. Average transmission is 85%, with blocking optical density of 2.0.
