Dalsa Corp. has enhanced its Piranha2 camera line with the introduction of the Slimline model, which measures 76 mm wide and enables side-by-side stacking of a larger number of cameras in a smaller area. A full 9 mm smaller than its predecessor, it requires less complex camera supports and reduces overall system costs. The camera achieves a speed of four taps at 40 MHz, offers 7 × 7-µm pixel pitch and, the company says, produces high responsivity, low noise and a high dynamic range. Applications include flat panel display inspection, electronics manufacturing and high-performance web inspection.
