BENDING MIRROR

Photonics Spectra
Sep 2004
Kugler of America Ltd.Request Info

The PL-A90/70 introduced by Kugler GmbH is an adaptive 90° bending mirror positioned in a beam delivery system of a cutting or welding laser. Its effective focal length changes from infinity to negative or positive values of only a few meters, resulting in a diverging or converging beam that compensates for beam waist effects. The mirror is water-cooled, with forced-air-cooled versions available upon request, and can be safely used with both multikilowatt CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers. It can be incorporated into new cutting and welding systems or used to upgrade existing ones.
