Laser Components IG Inc.'s colorPol IR 1550 BC4 and colorPol IR 1310 BC4 high-transmittance glass polarizers have contrast ratios of >10,000:1 and loss of <0.1 dB at 1550 and 1310 nm, respectively. The refractive index of n = 1.52 is suitable for telecommunications applications in the XS-, S-, L- and C-bands. ColorPol IR 2000 BC2 is for high-extinction/-transmission applications from 1.2 to 2.5 µm. All are available in sizes from 1 × 1 to 50 × 40 mm and in circular, square and rectangular shapes. Operating temperature ranges from >=250 to 400 °C.
