Kappa opto-electronics GmbH has introduced a line of microcameras that combine high-quality signal processing with a small footprint. Available in five sensor sizes -- 1/10, 1/6, 1/4, 1/3 and 1/2 in. -- their small, lightweight design makes them useful for minimally invasive surgery using fixed or flexible endoscopes, undercover surveillance and industrial endoscopy. Functions can be controlled by keys or by the RS-232 interface. The camera heads come with a control unit, OEM housing and cables up to 30 m long.
