TIP/TILT MIRROR ACTUATOR Mad City Labs Inc. has enhanced its Active Optics line of nanopositioners with the introduction of the MTA2HP, a two-axis tip/tilt mirror actuator with resolution and repeatability of better than 0.02 µrad. High-resolution position sensors are integrated into each axis, and a closed-loop feedback system eliminates errors caused by creep and hysteresis. Resonant frequency is >4 kHz, enabling operation at near-1-kHz frequencies under closed-loop control. The instrument can scan an area with a laser beam and hold the beam at specific points for long periods of time. It accepts 1-in. optics and is supplied with either 2 × 2- or 5 × 5-mrad range of motion, and other ranges are available upon request.
