The X-Scan x-ray linear array detector introduced by Detection Technology Inc. provides high resolution for applications such as food and pharmaceutical product inspection. The device has a 0.2-mm pixel pitch, which allows acquisition of images with great depth of detail. Housed in an aluminum frame, the detector works with settings from 20 to 160 kVp. Its maximum scanning speed of 40 m/min translates into 0.3-ms minimum line integration time. The device can be connected to a USB 2.0 interface on a computer, or to a Coreco or i2S frame grabber board.
