COMPACT CO2 LASERS The Diamond C-55 and C-70 low-power CO2 lasers from Coherent Inc. provide more than 55 and 70 W of power, respectively, at 10.55 to 10.63 µm. Their beam quality (less than 1.2 for the C-55 and 1.3 for the C-70) makes them suitable for medium- to high-volume marking, engraving and desktop manufacturing. The lasers' power supply RF driver is integrated into the same housing as the laser head, resulting in a compact package that can withstand harsh environments. The design provides ease of integration and enables desktop-size high-throughput marking and engraving systems.
