2-D ARRAY SCANNER The vtInfinity 2-D array scanning laser confocal microscope is available from VisiTech International Ltd. for studying dynamic processes in living cells. The company says that the device offers fast scan rates without frame-to-frame variations and enables simple synchronization to eliminate image streaking. It performs real-time confocal imaging with minimal photobleaching, captures images at up to 800 fps and operates in the UV to NIR range. Features include variable speed scan, integrated dichroic and emission barrier changers, a fully self-aligned system and camera synchronization. Applications include FRET, protein localization, protein-protein interactions, gene expression, tissue morphology and 3-D reconstruction.
