The Magellan-PC/104 motion controller from Performance Motion Devices Inc. is available in one-, two-, three- and four-axis versions. Features include trajectory generation, servo loop closure, quadrature signal input, motor output signal generation, performance trace, on-the-fly changes and commutation. It supports DC brushed/brushless and step motors, and it communicates via a 16-bit parallel bus, Canbus or serial port. Users can create advanced motion systems using standard C or C++ programming. Card features include S-curve, trapezoidal, velocity contouring, electronic gearing and user-generated profile modes. The card accepts input parameters such as position, velocity, acceleration, deceleration and jerk, and generates the corresponding trajectory.
