Anteryon BV has developed a method of packaging a fixed-focus optical function for mobile imagers. Patented integrated-lens-stacks technology enables a system of six aspheric lenses to be integrated with filters, gratings and apertures. The method produces a dense and compact optical package that is ready to interface free-focus with any CMOS sensor. Applications include reflow soldering assembly of printed circuit boards, safety-related machine vision for automotive applications, and mobile phone cameras. The company says that the optics offer a high numerical aperture and cover from CIF to megapixel. Array matrix configurations are possible.
