Soft Imaging System Corp. has unveiled a 5-megapixel CCD color digital camera for use in biomedical and life sciences applications. The company says that the ColorView IIIu delivers high resolution, a broad dynamic range, a good signal-to-noise ratio, fast frame rates, color binning and partial readout. The C-mount adapter facilitates installation on all standard microscopes, and data is transferred to the PC via a FireWire interface. AnalySis software provides digital live processing for a variety of real-time functions and has an intelligent feature to control exposure automatically, a library of labeling and filtering tools, particle analysis, image archiving, and data and report generation.
