Nanomotion Inc. has released the MAK-AF Auto Focus linear stage. Designed to operate vertically, the stage can provide up to 25 mm of travel with encoder resolutions ranging from 10 to 100 nm, with 1 nm as an option. It is designed with a counterbalance spring to manage the weight of the lens objectives, and it uses precision crossed-roller bearings with an antimigration device for robust performance and long life. It is suitable for rapid move-and-settle motion profiles used for image acquisition on microscopes.
