Wavefront InterferometerTUCSON, Ariz., Feb. 16 -- 4D Technology Corp. is introducing a new turnkey instrument designed to test the next generation of Blu-ray, DVD and CD pickup heads. The WaveCam 1000 is a vibration-insensitive wavefront interferometer that incorporates the latest 4D technology with the patented single frame, dynamic achromatic phase sensor. The instrument measures intensity and phase, collimated or divergent beams and operates with pulsed or CW sources. Measurement data can be acquired in as little as 30 µsec. The WaveCam 1000 has true multiwavelength capability; all optics are coated and corrected for the three most common data storage wavelengths: 780, 650 and 405 nm.
For versatility, the WaveCam 1000 includes zoom imaging and turret mounting accessory optics, making it simple to change optics without realignment and to improve ease of use and throughput. With the internal reference laser, calibration can be performed without a point of reference source. Additionally, the unit uses 4D's intuitive interface software, 4Sight, which offers ease of use and graphical display measurement setup and data analysis.
