Texas Advanced Optoelectronic Solutions Inc. (Taos) has announced the availability of a 4-pin transfer-molded board surface-mount package for its TSL12 and TSL13 light-to-voltage converters. Measuring 1.35 × 2.6 × 3.8 mm, it offers low noise, increased reliability and reduced board space and design and cycle times. The mount package makes the converters suitable for use in cellular telephones, printers and biometric fingerprint sensors.
