TELECOM ANALYZER Exfo Electro-Optical Engineering Inc. has released the IQS-12008 all-band component analyzer for use in optical component manufacturing and R&D. Incorporating a tunable laser with an output of 1260 to 1630 nm, the test system enables the measurement of multichannel insertion, optical return and polarization-dependent loss across the O-, E-, S-, C-, L- and U-telecommunications bands. Designed for the analysis of passive components, it also is suitable for fiber-to-the-X and coarse wavelength division multiplexing applications. The compact footprint of the modular analyzer makes it possible for a 32-channel system with a polarization-dependent loss tester to fit into an IQS-510P platform.
