SURFACE ABSORBERS Suitable for thermally unstable environments, the 3A-FS thermal surface absorbing heads from Ophir Optronics Inc. offer sensitivity, low noise and fast response. They are recommended for applications that require low power and/or energy measurements on lasers down to tens of microwatts. Featuring a flat spectral response of 0.19 to 2.5 µm and a removable fused silica window, the instruments have a high damage threshold and can supply CW and pulsed measurements of 40 µW to 3 W and 7 µJ to 2 J.
