Photonics Spectra
May 2005
General Optics Corp.Request Info

General Optics has announced enhanced capabilities for providing build-to-print superpolished components such as windows, ring-laser gyroscope mirrors and frames, beamsplitters, laser optics and prisms. Surface roughness is better than 1 Å on Zerodur, BK 7, fused silica, silicon, sapphire and silicon carbide. The company applies highly reflective, low-loss, ion-beam-sputtering coatings to its products and can build components with diameters of up to 20 in. Via magnetorheological finishing systems, it produces mirrors and windows with up to λ/50 flatness or transmitted wavefront accuracy.
