OPTICAL MEASUREMENT Trioptics GmbH has launched its ImageMaster-Universal Line, a modular and upgradeable instrument that measures optical parameters related to almost all typical optical components and lens systems. A motorized swiveling mechanism enables measurement of lenses at ±60° off-axis angles, and state-of-the-art software provides detailed analysis. A motorized and software-controlled reticle changer automatically selects the target suitable for the intended measurement. The 0.01-MTF resolution and 0.02-MTF accuracy are directly traceable to PTB standards. With multiwavelength capabilities, the system measures parameters such as front focal length, distortion, field curvature, chromatic aberrations, centration errors and astigmatism.
