SURFACE-MOUNT LEDs The series SML070 released by LEDtronics Inc. comprises low-profile, right-angled surface-mount LEDs that measure 2.4 × 3.3 mm and that are suitable for placement on printed circuit boards where components are densely packed. Single-color LEDs are available in yellow (590 nm), green (570 nm) and red (620 nm), all with clear lenses. Bicolor types are a combination of green and red, with a milky white lens. Luminous intensities range from 1.2 to 2.3 mcd at 20 mA. They can be used with the company's OptiLed light pipes, which channel the LED-generated light to the appropriate location.
