Based on a proprietary patented microactuation sensing system and direct beam steering technology, the 32 × 32 optical switch from Polatis Ltd. is available in both symmetric (NXN) and asymmetric (NXM) formats. It comes as a 16 × 16 tray and OEM module for 50- or 62.5-µm-core fiber. Instrumentation-grade variable optical attenuation and power monitoring are available as options. The user can set either attenuation per switch path or maximum power per output port, controlled via a graphical user interface.
