The Scepter, manufactured by krell technologies inc., is a PC-controlled precision optical polisher for connectors and bare fibers. Operators are prompted through each step in the process via the user-friendly interface. Various polishing procedures are easily programmed for all connector types and surface finishes. The workholders incorporate the company's independent suspension and optical alignment design for uniform polishing at each connector position and for maximum use of consumables. The Telcordia-compliant instrument polishes up to 12 connectors simultaneously.
