For gas analysis and research applications, Scitec Instruments Ltd. has introduced a variety of pyroelectric detectors. The room-temperature IR sensors use modern ion-beam-etching technologies to offer detectivity of up to 109, and they produce a low microphonic effect. Available versions include dual- and four-channel, single- and multielement, and standard pyroelectric linear arrays with 128 elements and a 100-µm pitch. Custom versions with different sizes or shapes of responsive element, with almost any IR filter or integrated optics, and custom arrays and modules with up to 256 elements and a minimum pitch of 50 µm can be manufactured.
