The CV-2600 high-speed machine vision system from Keyence Corp. of America incorporates a 2-megapixel CCD (1620 × 1220) that can inspect an area four times larger than conventional cameras at the same resolution, reducing cost and installation time. The instrument's controller can support two cameras, enabling twice the area of a target to be covered for less than the cost of two systems. The compact camera eliminates the need for strobe lighting, and its sensitivity is adjustable in 81 increments.
