Gradient Lens Corp.'s Hawkeye borescopes have been upgraded to offer lower chromatic dispersion, a wider field of view and better mirror technology. The devices have small diameters to detect straight ahead (0° direction of view) and around corners with a 90° mirror adapter. They are used for inspection inside small or deep bores and of complex machined parts. Improvements include an endoGrins lens system that lowers dispersion, an objective lens that produces a fuller image, a more scratch-resistant mirror, and objective lenses with multilayer, broadband antireflection coatings that provide truer color reproduction.
