WAVE PLATES
MKS/NewportRequest Info
Newport Corp. has expanded its line of wave plate offerings with the introduction of achromatic quartz-magnesium fluoride (MgF2) zero-order types. They are available in three wavelength ranges -- 400 to 700 nm, 700 to 1000 nm and 1000 to 1600 nm -- with retardation maintained from ±λ/50 to ±λ/100 over the full bandwidth. The company says that the wave plates' air-spaced construction results in a higher damage threshold than can be achieved with achromatic polymer film plates. They are suitable for use in general research applications involving optics or lasers.
