National Instruments has released NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection 2.6, an upgrade for configuring, benchmarking and deploying machine vision applications without programming. Engineers can use an ActiveX control to communicate with the previous version's scripts, to customize their user interfaces, to access acquired images and to communicate inspection results in Microsoft Visual Basic and in NI LabView and TestStand. They also can call LabView from Vision Builder A1 to run custom vision and advanced analysis algorithms or example programs without installing LabView. New algorithms include color measurements, object classification and geometric matching.
