COLOR SENSING Based on the TrueColor Sensor, a three-range color photodiode developed by Mazet GmbH, the PCS-II from Silicann Technologies GmbH has a spectral sensitivity that models that of the human eye. Applications include color sensing of the emitted light from LEDs, LCD displays and other displays and monitors, as well as of reflected light from paint, print, textiles and plastics. Up to 255 color classes can be defined by the user, and operation modes include color control, color recognition, color classification and color measurement. Illumination is provided by a white LED with adjustable brightness. The sensor may be run with or without PC software, and computer interface is via RS-232 or optional USB 2.0.
