The piShaper converts a Gaussian laser beam into a collimated flattop beam over a large working distance and with nearly 100% efficiency. Molecular Technology (MolTech) GmbH says that the beam can be easily manipulated and resized with conventional optics. Originally designed for operation at 1064 and 632.8 nm, the device can be tuned to other wavelengths between 355 and 1200 nm. The beam shaper weighs <80 g and measures 24 mm in diameter and 78 mm long. Custom designs, featuring other wavelength ranges, beam diameters, and input and output beam shapes, are available upon request. Applications include printing, marking, scribing, holography, information processing, illumination and soldering.
