DIODE LASERS NLight Corp. has expanded its line of visible, high-brightness, single-emitter, multimode diode lasers. Available in C-mount or high-heat-load packages, the devices are offered at 635 nm with output power of 0.5 W and at 665, 680 and 690 nm with output power of up to 1 W. The 635-nm laser has an operating current of 1 A and compliance voltage of 2.2 V, while the others feature an operating current of 1.3 A and compliance voltage of 2.1 V. Spectral width for all is <3 nm, and beam divergence is <42° by <10°, both FWHM. The emitters have applications in displays, illumination and photodynamic therapy, and in pumping solid-state lasers.
