The Compass 115M, manufactured by Coherent Inc., is a low-power, continuous-wave, 532-nm miniature green laser that is optimized for OEM applications in bioinstrumentation, graphic arts and inspection. The diode-pumped solid-state laser is offered with a choice of 5- or 10 mW of output and with the same performance, reliability and long lifetime as the higher-power Compass lasers, but with a 30% reduction in cost. The savings result from the redesigned optomechanical cavity. The laser incorporates PermAlign rigid mounting of all optics.
