BRIDGEWATER, N.J., Sept. 6 -- Hamamatsu Corp., a manufacturer of devices for the generation and measurement of infrared, visible and ultraviolet (UV) light, introduces the new RS232 controlled L9566 LC8 Lightningcure series. The LC8 retains the basic features of existing Lightningcure models, such as a high-intensity 200 W Hg-Xe lamp that gives an output of 3500 mW/cm2 at 365 nm with a 3000 hour service life, as well as one-touch lamp replacement, and there is no optical axis alignment needed.
The newest feature on the LC8 is the built-in RS232 port to allow PC control. The LC8 also features Memory Step, with which the user can store and execute nine programs of up to seven steps each in the memory. An optional feature is an internal optical feedback function maintaining the light intensity at a fixed level for stable irradiation. The LC8 is suitable for a wide range of applications, such as UV curing for CD/DVD pick up parts, UV curing of medical devices, fluorescence excitation and precision bonding of electronic components. The L9566 is $4457 in small quantities and delivery is four to six weeks. The L9566 with optional optical feedback unit is $5594 in small quantities; delivery is four to six weeks.
