LIQUID CRYSTAL MODULATORS Jenoptik Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH announces optimized housings for its SLM-S640 and -S640d liquid crystal spatial light modulators. Featuring enhanced cooling management for increased stability, the housings now locate the approximately 64 × 10-mm active area of the modulators in the middle of the liquid crystal stripe array at a height of 88 mm, improving their compatibility with the typical working heights of lasers in optical setups. The spatial light modulators are suitable for a variety of applications involving femtosecond laser pulses, including optical information processing, multiphoton microscopy, materials processing, ultrafast spectroscopy and optical coherence tomography.
