Dalsa announces its Piranha HS camera series, which is based on next-generation time delay and integration technology. The company says that the line-scan cameras provide 100 times greater sensitivity than traditional ones, bringing high speed and sensitivity to low-level-light applications such as postal sorting and web, electronics and flat panel display inspection. The cameras deliver line rates of up to 68 kHz for reduced cycle times and increased productivity. Their 4k- and 8k-pixel resolutions, with a 7-µm pixel pitch achieved through the company’s CCD process, enable more detailed inspection. For flexibility, the devices offer bidirectional scanning, 96 stages (chosen in increments of 16), flat-field correction and a Camera Link interface.
