NuSil Technology now offers thin-film adhesives along with its lines of silicone-based materials for electronics, photonics, health care and aerospace applications. The adhesives are used for various bonding and fastening applications, such as attaching LED chips to substrates, and can be customized to account for such parameters as optical transparency, electrical or thermal conductivity, and outgassing. Compared with traditional liquid adhesives, thin films eliminate overflow, provide consistent bond thicknesses and can be die-cut to precise sizes and shapes.
