FIBER-COUPLED LASER DIODE SYSTEMS For plastic welding, soldering and microheat applications, Dilas Diodenlaser GmbH has launched a series of fiber-coupled laser diode systems with a 400-µm core and a 0.22 NA. Available in 100-, 200- and 400-W versions, they include 19-in. rack mounts for the laser diode module, a chiller for industrial water-cooling, and a power supply and control unit. They operate at 980 ±10 nm, with 810- or 940-nm wavelengths available upon request. They have a 5-m armored fiber with an SMA connector (100 W) or with Optoskand RQB/QBH connectors (200 and 400 W, respectively). Optical focusing with a 95-mm working distance generates a 600-µm-diameter spot size. Options include the series PHF processing heads with a camera and/or pyrometer.
