Request InfoZemax, Optical Product Design SoftwareZemax Development Corp. has announced that its optical system design software now supports up to eight CPUs per machine for use on the most advanced computing workstations. Multithreading -- tracing one ray on one processor, another on a second, and so on, and then combining the results -- is now possible. An eight-CPU machine will trace rays almost eight times faster than a single machine. Applications include global optimization, stray light analysis and laser beam propagation.See full productRelated content from Photonics MediaPRODUCTSBioPhotonics Nov/Dec 2023 IssueSmart Imaging SystemThe ECLIPSE Ji from Nikon is a digital inverted microscope and smart imaging system which utilizes AI to automate the acquisition and analysis of cellular images, streamlining research workflows...Photonics.com 4/5/2024Ruggedized LensesThe 1.4-in., 45-MP MPT-R Series and 1-in., 20-MP MPZ-R Series (shown) from Computar® are 45-MP and 20-MP ruggedized lenses for harsh environments.
