The Stereo Discovery V.12 stereomicroscope has been unveiled by Carl Zeiss MicroImaging Inc. A new optical design provides up to 20% more image information and produces high-contrast, high-resolution images with better color reproduction and depth of field. An ergophoto tube offers variable viewing heights, and the systems control panel combines all functions in a single hand-operated unit. The human interface panel on the microscope stage stores and displays information on system status. Features include new LED illumination and contrasting systems, specimen protection, a three-position nosepiece, and a light and focus speed manager. AxioVision 4.3 software is included.
