Scanlab AG has introduced varioScan 40Flex, a laser scanning system that combines high performance for positioning the laser focus along the optical axis with an additional motorized lens for continuously varying the image field size (200 × 200 mm2 to 600 × 600 mm2) and working distance (240 to 735 mm). The company’s RTC 4 PC interface board and an extension card control the dynamic focusing and the field size. The housing contains the optical components and electronics. The bore layout at the beam exit side is designed for mounting to the company’s hurryScan 20/25/30 scan heads.
