FTIR PHOTODETECTOR Vigo System SA has announced the PCI-2TE-13, a photodetector suitable for FTIR applications. The apparatus features a spectral bandwidth of 1 to 13 µm, a broad linear output range and a built-in two-stage Peltier cooler that keeps the sensor element at 220 to 240 K. The spectral characteristics of the detector are modifiable, and the standard detectors are shipped in tailored TO-8 packages with barium-fluoride windows. Other packages, windows and connectors are available as options, as are a stand-alone preamplifier/power supply, an integrated preamplifier/power supply/cooler and a thermoelectric cooler controller.
