A high-heat-load package is being offered by nLightCorp. for its high-brightness, single-emitter, multimode diode lasers, which range in power from 0.5 to 5 W and in wavelengths from 635 to 980 nm. The industry-standard, environmentally sealed, 9-pin housing provides increased thermal management. Besides the laser, the package contains a TE cooler, a 10,000-ohm thermistor and a monitor photodiode. The company can attach an AR-coated cylindrical lens on the laser to collimate the fast-axis divergence to <2° FWHM, with >95% power transmission.
