A 4-megapixel, full-frame CCD monochrome image sensor for industrial and medical applications has been released by Dalsa Corp. The FTF2020M is a TrueFrame image sensor with 12-µm-square pixels. It measures 24 × 24 mm, has a dynamic range of >82 dB, operates at up to 30 fps and offers 160-MHz throughput. The company says that the chip also provides good antiblooming and a low dark current. Applications include industrial x-ray inspection, microscopy, radiography and fluoroscopy imaging systems.
