The Industrik HPM15 is a high-power continuous-wave laser that is based on ytterbium-doped double-clad photonic crystal fiber. Measuring 240 × 240 × 63 mm without a cooling plate, the device, from Koheras A/S, features diffraction-limited output, single-mode fiber delivery, and 5 to 15 W of output power (optional 20 W). It offers output beam quality of M2 <1.1, high wall-plug efficiency and a fixed center wavelength between 1060 and 1090 nm, with other wavelengths available. The stand-alone module, which comes with an RS-232 interface, has applications in engraving, micromachining, thermal printing, plastics welding and scientific research.
