A piezoelectric inertial nanorotation stage has been announced by attocube systems AG. The ANR30 measures 10 mm in diameter and 8.9 mm in height, and performs high-precision 360° endless rotation in both directions with no noise, no backlash and no drift. Its titanium construction makes it suitable for harsh conditions such as 10-mK temperatures, ultrahigh-vacuum environments and >28-T magnetic fields. It produces step sizes as small as 0.0001° at 4 K and operates at a maximum speed of ~3°/s. Features include scanning ability and digital control.
