For TO-can, TOSA Diodes, LEDsBOZEMAN, Mont., Feb. 2 -- ILX Lightwave announced today the introduction of the next generation of its successful LRS-9424 laser reliability and burn-in test system. The LRS-9424B is designed to significantly reduce the cost of test of TO-can and TOSA packaged laser diodes and LEDs. The system provides enhanced stability in testing of up to 1024 devices in 32 independent tests. Individual fixture heaters and temperature controls support multiple independent test temperatures up to 150°C with 1 C accuracy and typical stabilities of better than 0.1 C.
The LRS-9420 supports all device pinout configurations with ACC, APC and in-situ LIV test modes. Modular electronics are available with standard drive current ranges up to 400 mA. Careful analog design and system thermal management ensure measurement stabilities of 0.1 percent over 1000 hours. Temperature-controlled Si and InGaAs external photodiode arrays are available for stable, long-term optical power measurement.
Redundant laser protection features and attention to fault tolerant system design ensure data integrity even through power black outs and brown outs. The 9424B's modular design and capability for remote Web-based diagnostics ensure easy future system upgrade and maximum system uptime throughout the life of the system.
The new LRS-9424B includes ReliaTest version 2.0 system control software with enhanced speed and data export capability. Standard ReliaTest features include an intuitive user interface, easy test scenario configuration, flexible data graphing and reporting and secure data management.
