An image intensifier tube (IIT) is essentially the heart of any night-vision device and defines its quality. The cost of an IIT accounts for up to 80 percent of the overall cost of a night-vision unit. Newcon Optik is one five major manufacturers in the world with the technical know how and ability to mass-produce the tubes. The company produces generation 2+ and generation 3 tubes; both 18- and 25-mm models are available. Newcon Optik image intensifier tubes are compatible and interchangeable with ANVIS models available from competing manufacturers.
