TUCSON, Ariz., Feb. 7, 2006 -- Lasertel Inc., a manufacturer of high-power semiconductor lasers for the graphics, defense, industrial and medical industries, as well as current and next-generation telecommunications, has introduced three new series of stacked array platforms.
The LT-3000, LT-5000 and LT-5500 series array products provide powerful, high-efficiency continuous wave (CW) lasers in compact linear array platforms that are ideal for side pumping applications, according to Lasertel. The LT-3000, LT-5000 and LT-5500 QCW- (quasi continuous wave) array products provide powerful, high efficiency QCW lasers for the most demanding applications.

Lasertel says its vertically integrated manufacturing facilities assemble the three product lines completely in-house -- from epitaxy to final assembly -- providing customers with dependable product delivery and quality control. At power levels up to 1000 W at peak, the LT-3000, LT-5000 and LT-5500 QCW arrays are ideal for integration into direct or solid-state laser applications. Standard bar configurations range from 5 to 10 1cm bars stacked on a 400 µm pitch at power levels from 500 W to 1 kW. The three series are each available at a standard peak operation wavelength of 808 nm and can be optimized for a variety of different operation conditions; customers can customize their LT-3000, LT-5000 or LT-5500 by specifying alternate peak wavelengths, operation temperatures or power levels.
