For Endoscopes, Bronchoscopes and OtherPARABIAGO, Italy, March 1, 2006 -- The new line of three-channel color prisms from high-performance optical and optoelectronic components and systems maker Optec SpA answers the need for three-chip color cameras that can tolerate standard autoclave sterilization from manufacturers of endoscopes, bronchoscopes, remote surgical systems and other imaging instruments requiring sterilization, according to the manufacturer. These prisms are fabricated entirely of glass with dichroic coatings and cemented with a new, proprietary adhesive developed for Optec to resist autoclave temperatures and rapid temperature cycling.
