LOW-LIGHT IMAGING
Hamamatsu CorporationRequest Info
Hamamatsu Corp. has introduced the N7220 electron bombardment CCD tube, which is designed for low-light-level imaging applications. When responding to incident light, the device emits electrons from the photocathode and accelerates them in an electric field. Then it focuses them onto a full-frame-transfer CCD, increasing image intensity up to 600 times. Other features include a pixel size of 24 x 24 µm, effective pixel count of 512 x 512, full-well capacity of 500,000 e and a high signal-to-noise ratio.
