Portable Power Systems has introduced the PPS-40 series laser diode drivers that provide up to 40 A of CW or pulsed current to operate laser diodes, laser diode bars and laser diode arrays at various compliance voltages. The standard unit has universal input from 85 to 264 VAC, and all are under an 18-month warranty. Some include “automatic compliance voltage adjust” to allow the user to operate various configurations of diodes or arrays without concern for excessive power. All units have an enable/disable mode to put the laser in standby.
